The Airgun Section at Ashford & District Rifle Club meets every Monday from 4pm to 6pm for benchrest at 25m and again at 7pm to 9pm for standing rifle/pistol, offering a relaxed, welcoming evening of shooting for all ages and experience levels. It’s a great way to start the week — whether you're looking to learn the fundamentals, refine your accuracy, or simply enjoy a calm, focused session on the range.  We provide a selection of modern pre-charged air rifles and air pistols for new members to use, available in both left- and right-handed configurations to ensure everyone can shoot comfortably and safely. Ammunition is also available on-site, so there’s no need to bring your own kit when you’re starting out.  This setup gives newcomers a fantastic opportunity to try different types of airguns before investing in their own equipment, while also allowing experienced shooters to explore alternative styles and setups. It’s all about giving you the tools, support, and environment you need to enjoy the sport at your own pace. Our members take real pride in helping one another grow. Whether it’s advice on stance, breathing, equipment setup, or competition technique, you’ll always find someone willing to share their knowledge and support your progression. We believe in lifting each other up, and that strong sense of camaraderie is one of the things that truly defines this section of the club.  And who knows — with time, practice, and the right guidance, you could be the next person representing the county, or even stepping onto the international stage.
